How to Spot a Scam SMM Panel: 12 Red Flags Before You Add Funds

SMM Reportly team · November 07, 2026 · 4 min read

Warning sign over a fake SMM panel checkout page

Most complaints we receive on SMM Reportly follow the same story: a panel looked professional, the buyer added funds, and then orders stopped, support went silent or the refund never came. The good news is that scam panels leave signs. Here are the twelve red flags we see most often, and what to do before and after you deposit.

Red flags before you deposit

1. The domain is only weeks old

Scam panels rotate domains. A panel that claims "10 million orders since 2017" on a domain registered last month is not telling the truth. Check the domain age with any WHOIS lookup.

2. Prices are far below everyone else

Some services really are cheap, and promotions exist. But a panel that is cheaper than the original providers on every service cannot be delivering them. Compare a few services in All Services first.

3. Fake or frozen order counters

Many panels show a "total orders" counter. If the number never moves, jumps by round numbers or is far larger than the panel's real traffic, it is decoration.

4. No terms, no refund policy

A real business tells you what happens when an order fails. If there is no terms page, or it says "no refunds under any circumstances", expect exactly that.

5. Only crypto, only "manual" payments

Crypto is normal in this market. Being pushed to send money to a personal wallet or a personal account with no automatic top-up is not.

6. Copy-paste content and fake reviews

The same homepage text, testimonials with stock photos and five-star reviews posted on the same day are common on throwaway panels.

7. Support only on a personal Telegram

A panel with no ticket system and only one personal Telegram account can vanish by deleting that account.

Red flags after you deposit

8. Orders stay "pending" for days

Delays happen, but a panel where every order is stuck while the balance is already taken is a warning.

9. Orders are marked "completed" with nothing delivered

Check the start count. If the panel marks orders as completed but the numbers did not move, keep screenshots.

10. Refill buttons that never work

"Refill guaranteed" means nothing if every refill request is ignored or rejected.

11. Pressure to deposit more

Bonuses that only unlock after a larger deposit, or support that asks you to top up before they will "fix" an order, are classic tactics.

12. The balance cannot be withdrawn or refunded

Some panels block refunds to the original payment method and only offer "balance credit". If the panel also stops delivering, that credit is worth nothing.

How to check a panel in two minutes

  1. Search the panel on SMM Reportly. Read the complaints, how many were resolved and the panel's Trust Score.
  2. Check the scam panel list and the forum for recent warnings.
  3. Compare its prices on the same service with other panels.
  4. Look at the domain age and whether the order counter moves over a few days.
  5. Make a small deposit and a small test order before you send anything larger.

What to do if a panel scammed you

  1. Collect evidence. Order IDs, links, start counts, screenshots of the order history and your payment receipt.
  2. Contact the panel's support through its ticket system and keep a copy of the conversation.
  3. File a complaint on SMM Reportly. The panel owner gets notified and can reply in public. Many panels resolve issues once the complaint is visible.
  4. Open a payment dispute if you paid by card or PayPal. Crypto payments usually cannot be reversed.
  5. Warn others in the forum so the next buyer does not lose money.

Frequently asked questions

Are all cheap SMM panels scams?

No. Views and likes can be extremely cheap, and real promotional prices exist. The question is whether the panel delivers and refunds. Check its complaint history.

A panel has no complaints. Is it safe?

Not necessarily. It may simply be new. Prefer panels with a history of resolved complaints and a verified owner.

Can a panel remove a complaint on SMM Reportly?

No. Panel owners can reply and mark issues as resolved, and the complaint author confirms. Moderators review every complaint before it is published.
